Despite the fact that I constrained myself to leave the beverage path, I continued longing for them at home. I know, I know, ordinary individuals don't typically dream about chia drinks.
Since I couldn't get the captivating beverages out of my head, I chose to bring matters into my very own hands and make my very own watermelon chia seed smoothie at home! Chia seeds love to splash up and hold in water, so I figured blending it with a delicious watermelon would be a match made in hydration paradise.
Incidentally, it's so cool to watch the chia seeds grow when they retain water! You know, similar to those "simply include water" ocean monkeys that we used to play with as children? Alright, OK, I concede that I have to get some new diversions in case I'm lounging around watching chia seeds. In conclusion, to kick this chia party off, I hurled in a couple of strawberries and sprinkle of lime juice in with the general mish-mash!

INGREDIENTS
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 2 cups watermelon chunks
- 1 cup strawberries
- 4 tsp chia seeds
- 1 inch ginger
- 1.5 tsp maple syrup (or to taste)
- Blend all of the ingredients together.
- Serve in a glass filled with ice!
